In December 2025, a group of 12 students will embark on a World Challenge expedition to Thailand and Cambodia. The expedition will take place over three weeks with students developing leadership skills and pushing themselves out of their comfort zones. Students will take turns at leading different parts of the expedition and immerse themselves in the cultures of the host countries.
Part of the ethos of World Challenge involves sustainable travel and giving back to the community. Learning how to travel sustainably to leave minimal impact on the environment and giving back to the community are an integral part of the trip. The expedition will contribute to the building of a school in the village of Battambang, Cambodia. Part of the preparations for the trip include group modules, which are led by the students and a module day which took place in Term 1 with the Expedition Leader from World Challenge.
The group is also involved in fundraising to help pay for the trip, including sausage sizzles at market days and at Athletics, as well as selling seeds and cookies. As always, we are grateful to the community for their support of the group.
