Changes to Tuesday 1st Feb 2022

Dear Parents/Caregivers,

Following the recent announcements regarding the country moving to the Red setting of the COVID-19 Protection Framework, we have had to make some changes to the format of the day for Tuesday 1 February 2022 involving Year 9 and Year 13 students.

All Year 9 students will go to the Main Hall at 8.45am and will be seated with space between each student. We would ask parents/caregivers to not come onto the school site.  Mr Membery will welcome and speak to the new students and then they will find out what Form Class they are in and will go to their class with their Form Teacher.   Unfortunately, our planned Powhiri can no longer take place.  We intend to conduct Whakatau for each Year 9 Form Class and new Staff over the coming weeks as part of a special programme we run for Year 9: “Our Class and O-Tāwhao, Our Marae.”

Year 13 will gather at the Marae (8.45am) and be greeted by their Dean and Form Class Teachers.

Specific information relating to the Red COVID-19 requirements for students will be provided before students start school.
